Olivia Griffin

I’m currently a student at Cardiff University completing my BA in English Literature, alongside my role as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Quench Magazine. My academic journey has given me a deep appreciation for storytelling, cultural analysis and the written word, which I’ve translated into practical experience in journalism and media.

I have undertaken internships at Country & Town House Magazine (2024) and South Wales Argus (2023), where I gained valuable experience in creating content, conducting interviews and managing editorial workflows. These roles taught me how to adapt to fast-paced environments, collaborate effectively and ensure every piece met the highest editorial standards.

My time with Quench Magazine has further developed my leadership and creative skills, from overseeing a team of over 40 editors and contributors to producing award-winning content. I’m proud to have been recognised as 'Best Journalist' at the SPA Regional Awards 2025 (Wales), an achievement that reflects my dedication to producing impactful and high-quality content.

Beyond journalism, I’m a CELTA-qualified language teacher with experience teaching English to a diverse range of learners, which has strengthened my ability to communicate effectively across cultures and contexts. I'm set to join Kaplan International Languages in Bath this summer.

I’m a versatile and detail-oriented content professional, passionate about exploring roles that merge my editorial and teaching expertise — in the classroom, newsroom, or beyond.
